Aggregate
Filler 0 / 0.063 mm

The Filler 0 / 0.063 mm is a fine aggregate intended to fill, to load various products of the construction industries.

The Filler 0 / 0.063 mm is an inorganic material, finely divided for filling (from English to fill) the gaps left by a granular packing gravel, fine gravel and sand.

The term Filler refers to the small size of the grains that constitute it. The chemico-mineralogical nature of the filler can vary, it is usually ground limestone but fly ash, silica fume or a combination of these can be used as a filler

The 0 / 0.063 mm filler is controlled according to the NA 5113 Standard .

Uses :

The 0 / 0.063 mm filler charges:

  • Artificial asphalt in doses close to 10%, for its stiffening power;

  • Bituminous mixes, in doses close to 3 to 4% or 5 to 6%, for their stiffening power;

  • Hydraulic cement concretes, at doses close to 50 to 80 kg per m 3 , as a substitute for cement; it is most often silica fume (micro- or nanoparticles from the metallurgy of silicon and its alloys).

The use of fillers in appropriate dosages in the formulation of concrete makes it possible to improve the flow properties of fresh concrete and the mechanical strengths of hardened concrete.
